THE STATE OF PLAY OF GENDER GAP IN PENSIONS IN GREECE: INSTITUTIONAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL FACTORS [Months: 2-13]

Objectives:

- mapping, analysing and assessing all dimensions of the gender gap in pensions in Greece.

- identify and analyse the key factors that lead to the gender gap in pensions in Greece and assess their relative importance.

- assess the impact of the gender pension gap on the income and living conditions of women pensioners in Greece.

The ultimate goal of the WP 2 is to provide an overall and clear-cut account of the state of play of the gender pension gap in Greece, which would constitute a solid base for taking appropriate and effective action to address this gap.

WP2 Deliverables

Short Report

The short report will be used for the determination of the categories of women who will participate in the focus group interviews of Activity 1 of WP 3.

Short manual for pension calculation

A “short manual for pension calculation” will be compiled, entailing the description of the main pension parameters and the methodology for the estimation of women’s future pension. This manual will constitute the basis for the design of a “digital pension calculator” as described in WP5.

Synthesis Report of all main findings of WP2

The Synthesis Report will entail all main findings of WP2. Moreover, it will feed in WP 4 by providing the basis for the development of Policy Proposals, while it will also constitute the basis for certain dissemination activities as described in WP 5.
